The descriptions are clear enough to paint a picture and crisp enough to keep your attention. Even the dialog is good. The story is compelling and fresh, I was drawn in immediately—none of that “Well, I’ll give it five chapters and see where it goes,” stuff here. This story comes together like a seven layer dip of Historical Science fiction. Anne’s courage is filled with flash points of insights. There are plenty of twists and turns which keep the plot fresh and unique. I particularly appreciate KC Harry’s perception of other worlds parallel to ours; sometimes--perhaps more often than we realize--we're given a chance to cross over. The subject matter is accessible for young adults, but not so juvenile that it won’t appeal to older readers as well. All in all, I was really impressed with this Sci-Fi gem, and I will be sharing it with my book club and the kids I work with at my local high school

Amazing insight to dealing with adolescent insecurities and peer problems.

This is 3 books in one. After the first book there's a bit of an explanation of the previous book so you can refresh your memory if some time has passed in between reading them.
These would be ideal reading for ages 9 and up.
There are a few spelling errors in these books as well. At one point it said Claire's teeth shattered but it should have said chattered. Also a vial of poison was spelled as a vile of poison.
As an adult, I enjoyed reading it and I would let my children read it.

A fun series... actually targets a younger audience, but I found it a fascinating historical study. I won't give it away here, but do take the time to read it, even if you are 30 or 60 you will enjoy it.
Eleven-year-old Anne, who is tormented by bullies at her school, goes on vacation to England where she visits the Tower of London together with her cousin Claire. The girls find themselves transported back hundreds of years in time, to a very different era when the Tower is the home of the young King of England. The two girls meet the young king and are led into an adventure with him, finding help in a dangerous realm of witches, wizards and one dragon. Will they survive, and will the girls ever get back home to their present time again? You will need to read the book to find out.
I was fascinated with the movie, "Time Machine" years ago. So the theme of this book appealed to me. I really enjoyed it! It is a great book for young people as well as adults. It highlights the problem of "bullying" in an interesting and adequate way. It also deals with "self confidence" and encourages the readers to see their abilities in a positive way. I give this book five well-deserved stars!
I bought this book for my niece, who has experienced being bullied. She raved about the book so much that I decided to read it myself. I enjoyed the book as well, it is really for all ages. Time in the Tower is a heartwarming story with realistic dialogue. It's empowering for girls everywhere. My niece and I both give this book a high recommendation. We are now about to order book number 2 from the series.
