Who would have guessed, when during my teen years Laurie Cook's brother (from "the lake") would be famous ... and I assume name his Medical Examiner character Laurie Montgomery after her? But I love medical thrillers, having been introduced to them by Robin's first one, Coma.
Something about this book was a little spooky, but only in hindsight ... it's about bioterrorists who planned to take out New York with biological weapons. Early in the book Robin had them planning to flee New York by taking the train out of the city, catching it at the World Trade Center station. The book was copyrighter 1999, I believe, 3 years before nine-eleven. That escape route was never mentioned again in the book, they fled by truck, and were double-crossed by the Russian who had prepared the killing agents...too bad that the nine-eleven fanatics were suicide bombers, Robin's ending was better and a few more terrorists died his way..

Vector A Stapleton and Montgomery Novel 4 edition by Robin Cook Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews

an absolutely terrifying novel. I read this when it was first published, and I enjoyed it so much that I recently bought a copy so I could read it again.
It deals with government agencies lying to ordinary people. As I reread the book, I was struck with the way this could happen in real life. It is one of my very favorite books of all time.
Second time reading this book. The first book I read and gave away to a college student. This time I am keeping the book for me!
One my favorites from Robin Cook. My other favorites are Chromosome 6, Toxin, and, well, most of the Laurie and Jack Stapleton books...
I like Robin Cook. Enjoy reading his stories. Really makes you think. Fast paced.
Like the series with the pathologist Jack Stapleton and Laurie Montgomery.
Love his books, always read them, could've wait for the next one to come out. He always right 's about events that happened in the medical profession or could happen. He makes your reading experience enjoyable, intense and don't want to put the book down. Keeps you on your toes. You don't have to be in the medical profession to understand his writing. I definitely would recommend this book, especially to the die hard Robin Cook Fans.
I chose this book because it was written by Robin Cook who writes interesting medical novels. I would recommend this book to everyone who likes medical thrillers.
Engrossing, like the double cross. The extra info at endshould definitely be read by everyone..this is quite a possibility. Being a medical professional I can tell you it is a plausible situation.
